Miami Artistes by Rowen-silver Miami Artistes by Rowen-silver
A 3-D "illustration" for my editorial illustration class done in Sculpey clay and painted with acrylics. Set in a cheap frame with a painted canvas background. Supposedly illustrating an article about Miami being flooded with pretentious artsy types, attracting toursists and good press and whatnot.

The article was complimentary, and read like a tourist guide book. I meanwhile was disgusted by the descriptions of the so-called "artistes".

But a grade is a grade. A cliche representation, but I rather like how it came out.

What do you think?

Awesome, but why is it posted in Digital Art if you made it with Sculpey?

That is a most excellent flamingo. It looks so... silly. xD I love it.

The textures on the feathers are really good, and so are the colors. This feels wonderfully like good old florida cliche. :D
