Speedy Still Life

Once again, one of the portfolio pieces I'm trying to get done for my application to the medical illustration graduate programs. Bleh. It's what I do now instead of fun things. I took so unbelievably long to do the last one (procrastination) that I set this one up with perishable objects to FORCE myself to paint it quickly.

Eh, not so much. But I did paint the things in the order that they'd rot. The banana first, then the tomato, then the pumpkin. The cloth beneath is a pillowcase. The two blue fields behind are two painted canvases sitting next to each other. The book is about Irish Myths and Legends.

Wow, I do believe I have every color of the rainbow in this thing.

Bleh.
